Create an OANDA account
Go to oanda.com and sign up for a Practice account (free, no real money). Choose the fxPractice option.

Get your Account ID
Log into your OANDA account. Go to Manage Funds or Account Summary. Your Account ID looks like: 101-011-12345678-001

Generate an API token
In your OANDA account, go to Manage API Access (under My Account or My Services). Click Generate to create a new API token. Copy it immediately.

Go to labs.ig.com, log in with your IG credentials, then go to My Applications and create a new API key.

Find your Account ID
Your Account ID is shown in the IG platform dashboard (e.g. ZZQ23). You can also find it in your account settings.
